INDOOR SOCCER

WHO CAN OFFICIATE INDOOR

To officiate indoor soccer, you must already be certified with ASA as a Youth/EntryLevel Referee or higher.

There are 2 types of indoor soccer. Boarded and non-boarded. Both use a 2-man system but boarded soccer only has one referee on the field. The other referee is in the box.

No further courses are required to officiate non-boarded soccer but EMSA might require you to attend a pre-season meeting. Fot boarded indoor soccer you must have completed an ASA Indoor conversion course in the first season you officiate and all subsequent seasons attend an ASA Indoor Refresher Course. These courses can be found on your refcentre account.

If you are registered with ASA as a Mini Referee, you will need to check with EMSA if Indoor Mini Referee Courses will be held, as ASA does not offer indoor courses for Mini Referees. EMSA ARs and Facilitators are not allowed to participate as officials in
the indoor program.
