Community Soccer

Registration will be open online through TeamSnap from February 2, 2026 to March 18, 2026.

What to expect this season:

  • Bi-Weekly Professional Lesson Plans
    Coaches will be provided with detailed session plans, along with guidance and support from our dedicated technical staff.
  • Engaging 60-Minute Sessions
    Each session features fun skill-building and drill stations, followed by an exciting mini-game.
  • Our Focus
    Building a love for soccer while developing overall movement, coordination, and foundational soccer skills.

To participate, all registrations must be completed and paid in full by March 18.

If any part of your registration is incomplete (TeamSnap registration, payment, or volunteer deposit) or if you’re registering after March 18, please email socceroffice@emsanorth.ca to add your athlete(s) to the waitlist. Waitlisted participants will only be contacted to complete payment if there’s space available AFTER teams are formed.

Important Dates:

  • Team rosters posted: April 14 at 5:00pm (via TeamSnap)
  • Schedules posted: April 27 at 5:00pm (via TeamSnap)

The season runs from May 1, 2026 (weather permitting) to June 19, 2026.

How To Register for U4 Outdoor Soccer

 

STEP 1: COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP (REQUIRED FOR INSURANCE COVERAGE)

  • To participate, all players must upload a current and valid EFCL Membership Card with their TeamSnap registration. A photo of the card or a receipt is acceptable.
  • This membership is MANDATORY for ALL PLAYERS as it ensures insurance coverage. Without a valid card, your athlete(s) won’t be able to play.
  • You must purchase your community league membership from the community where you live, even if it doesn’t have an active soccer program. Entering your home address will display your home community and available memberships to purchase.

STEP 2: REGISTER ONLINE THROUGH TEAMSNAP

Registration will be accepted online through TeamSnap from February 2, 2026 to March 18, 2026.

  1. Log-in to your account OR create an account on TeamSnap HERE  
    • Need to create an account? Use the “Sign Up” feature
      • NOTE: You will need to click on the registration link again after creating your account
    • Forgot password? Use the “forgot password” feature
      • NOTE: You will need to click on the registration link again after resetting your password)
  2. Add/Register your player(s)
    • Ensure the player information is correct prior to registering

Thinking about coaching? Please indicate your interest on your athlete’s registration! Coaches must complete a free Police Information Check (PIC) and attend all sessions.

STEP 3: PAYMENT

Please note: Your registration won’t be finalized until payment is received. The deadline to submit payment is March 18, 2026.

How to Pay:

1. Online – Use Visa or MasterCard at the final step of TeamSnap registration. You may choose to pay the full fee upfront or in installments: 50% upfront, with the remaining balance automatically charged to the same card in two weeks.

2. Offline – Choose “Pay Offline” at the final step of the TeamSnap registration and follow the instructions to send an Interac e-transfer to EMSA North within 24 hours. Please include your player’s name in the transfer notes.

3. Funding 

  • KidSport:
    KidSport will provide funding for qualified applicants of up to $250 per calendar year (January 2026–December 2026). You can apply for assistance through TeamSnap when submitting your registration online. Please ensure you have your financial documentation available to upload (2024 Canada Child Benefit Notice).

  • Jumpstart:
    As of January 2025, Jumpstart will no longer be offering Individual Child Grants in Edmonton & surrounding area.
  • EMSA North Hardship Fund:
    If your family is experiencing financial difficulty and could benefit from additional support, please reach out to us at socceroffice@emsanorth.ca

Please note: If you’re applying for financial assistance through KidSport, you must pay your registration fees in full before the deadline to secure your athlete’s spot on a team. After the office receives the funding, any overpaid fees will be refunded. 


Field Etiquette for Players and Spectators

  • Clean up after yourselves and keep fields clean and safe
  • Drinking alcohol, urinating on the field, and littering are all prohibited on City fields (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
  • Fields are closed periodically for maintenance or rest periods, which can prevent longer closures later. Rejuvenation periods allow the soil and grass to regenerate without the strain of constant use. Signs are posted on closed fields; please respect these closures (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
  • Home & Away spectators must sit on opposite ends of the field. No one can sit behind the net.
  • No pets are allowed on the field area (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
  • No smoking/vaping is allowed on the field area (City of Edmonton Bylaw)
  • Park only in areas where signs indicate parking is permitted
  • Supervision of minors is always required by their parents or guardians
