Sports Coordinator

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you have a passion for sports and see the value it brings to our youth? Are you currently studying Sports Administration or another similar field? If you answered yes, then this position may interest you.

EMSA North exists to promote, develop, and govern the soccer program on behalf of its members. It provides, wherever possible playing opportunity for every youth in its zone, regardless of gender, skill, ability, level, or race. EMSA North is a community based not-for-profit sports program and our small office manages the administration of soccer programming while implementing and adhering to board direction.

This position is a an 8-week Summer Student role with the opportunity to possibly continue as a more permanent part time position, at the discretion of the board.

We are looking for an upbeat multi-tasker with excellent communication skills. The candidate will report to the Executive Director and assist them in their role as well as all members to the organizations by handling office tasks, special projects, events, scheduling, and social media management.

The successful candidate will be professional, polite, a quick thinker, self-starter and able to perform under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft office programs and social media platforms is required. Ability to learn new computer-based sport management programs quickly will be required. Past league scheduling and tiering abilities and proven social media track record will be considered an asset.


· This is a temporary position open to Post Secondary Summer Students for 8 weeks at 30 hours per week.

· The successful candidate will be able to have reliable transportation to move to different events we may be hosting

· Primary working location for this position will be on site at the office, however there will be some opportunity to do some work remotely and other times where travel to event sites will be required.

COVID-19 considerations:
At this time all customers must book an appointment prior to visiting our office. The staff work primarily further than 6 feet distance apart and when the work does not require staff in the office working remote option can be made available.
